As we all know Sage 300 v2022 is released. This new release has introduced additional features to Sage 300 Desktop screens. In this blog we are going to discuss regarding one of the feature for setting detail line’s location as per header location.

New Stuff:

Navigation for the report:

You can navigate to standard OE Orders screen using navigation as O/E Transactions à OE Orders.

Order Entry

As displayed in screenshot above an additional button is provided as “Set Location”.  Using this button user can set value for location field for all order detail lines. It will overwrite and set same value as order header “Location” to all the detail lines ‘Location’ field.

As you can see in below screenshot, for order in example all the detail lines the ‘Location’ field have different values.

OrderEntry_SL

And the header ’Location’ value is different, there may be the case that user want to set all the detail lines to have same ‘Location’ value as that of header location. So, instead of setting the value for each detail line, user can click on “Set Location” button and you will get this field updated for all the detail lines. Please refer to screenshot below:

OrderEntry_SL

This feature, is very much useful when Order contains large no. of detail lines, it saves time for updating details and prevents user mistakes too.

Note:

  • User will be prompted for confirmation, for overwriting detail line values with header ‘Location’ value. If users responses with ‘Yes’ then only it will proceed with changes.
  • Here, location will be updated for only those detail lines, where item on that detail line is allowed for the header location, otherwise it will remain same. This condition will be specified on confirmation message also.
  • Once the values are updated for all the detail lines, the values cannot be reset to the original.
