We already have a feature in Sage 300 ERP of sending emails to Vendors and Customers on required reports. One can use E-mail configuration functionality in Sage 300 ERP to send Invoices and other documents. Sage 300 desktop screens and Sage 300cloud web screens both support using SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) to send documents via email.
The email will be sent on the id which is set in the Customer and Vendor master.

After configuring the E-mail functionality, sometimes user may come across below error :
Troubleshooting this error:-
If the above error occurs, then you need to first check the following points:-
- Webmail account not configured to allow access to Sage
- Email setup not correct in Sage when emailing with Outlook
- Security software blocking
- Using incorrect password for webmail
After check the above points are check then try to send test email from the Company Profile Screen.
If your details are authentic then you will get the below message:-
Now try to send the email, if still error occurs then you need to check the report file(.rpt) which you are using to print the report,
If the rpt has any type of Parameter to be entered manually then system will encounter error while sending the email. The error occurs due to time out session expiry as the input where not found to be entered in the parameter before sending the email.
In conclusion, User can send only standard reports via email configuration or the report which picks every data from the screen itself without any manual input during printing the report.
