Customizing the Lot allocation screen in Sage 300 to include additional columns that provide more details about specific lot numbers is a great initiative. New Stuff: Utility for Exporting Transfer Details
This customization is done in Order entry Module on below screens:
1. OE Shipment Entry
2. Credit/Debit Note Entry
When users perform lot allocations in these screens, they will see the additional columns that are added, which can be populated with relevant data. This customization is done in existing functionality without modifying the core system.
Following new columns are added in Lot Number Allocation screen of the Order Entry Module.
- Batch No
- MRP
- Customer
- Comments
The user cannot edit data in the said fields to maintain the authenticity of data input in PO module. But this can be altered based on requirements. Additionally, the lot information is stored in the Lot master screen. Since the information is stored in the backend, it becomes accessible for custom reporting purposes. Users can generate reports specific to their business needs, including the new lot details.
