In today’s era of data collection, users often encounter issues when the data doesn’t meet their specific requirements. Therefore, our primary goal with Sage300 ERP is to consistently deliver accurate data. While it’s true that retrieving data history for a particular year, period, customer, or item is readily available, we recognize that there is a limitation when it comes to filtering data based on both customer and item simultaneously in our Sage300 ERP system.
New Stuff: – Mailing open invoices to the customer
To address this limitation, we have introduced a customization on the OE Sales History Screen, which includes the addition of an Item finder and a filter button. This enhancement empowers users to sort and retrieve the specific data they require by selecting the desired items.
The figure below illustrates the standard functionality, which includes basic selection options for year, period, and customer. This standard functionality provides a list of all items with transactions during the specified year and period.
Working of Customization:
- Initially, the user will input their desired filter criteria and then proceed by clicking the “GO” button.
- Once the grid is populated with the data, the user has the option to select a specific item they want to use as a filter to refine the displayed data.
- Then user will click on “Filter” button to procced with filtering the grid data.
Below figure shows the example of the data filtered based on the items selected.
This customization significantly enhances the user experience by allowing them to input data in a way that precisely aligns with their requirements. Consequently, users can obtain more accurate and desired data, facilitating easier auditing and analysis with a properly filtered dataset.
