In the previous blog we have seen the introduction and the configuration of the QR code scanner that is implemented as an Add-on in our Sage 300 ERP. This add-on manages the physical inventory count more easily, quickly and more accurately. Scanning an item’s QR code yields information such as its name and price. When a QR code is scanned with the QR code scanner, the data is converted into usable information. This appears to be a lot simpler than manually entering the information.

For generating and printing the QR code, we have recently introduced a screen that can print QR code labels in the provided Barcode Print screen. This requires a Barcode Label Printer for the users to be able to print the Barcodes.
The screen seen in the above screenshot is the Barcode print screen which we will use to generate and print the QR code. As seen in the above screen user needs to select the print option for the QR code to be printed. Then by selecting the required items of respective locations user needs to click on the Go button.
This will display the details of the data of items at specific locations with minimum and maximum reorder quantities. From the item list user can select a particular item or multiple items to generate the QR code by checking the checkboxes.
With the help of the Generate/Regenerate button, the QR code will be generated/regenerated for the selected items at specific locations.
Once the QR codes are generated the list of all the generated QR codes will be seen on the screen. Users can select single or multiple items to print the generated QR code. With the click of the Print button, the generated QR code will be printed which can be further used for transactions on IC Internal Usage screen.
With the help of this customization of printing QR code labels, users can generate labels for any item easily and keep track of generated QR code labels as well.
