Sage 300 ERP allows you to define the currency exchange rates in currency rates screen, which we can use for multicurrency transaction. Through this feature, user need not enter exchange rate at transaction level. System will automatically pick the exchange rate based on the rate given in currency rates table for particular date.

To start with navigate through the below path

As we can see in above screen shot, where we have defined USD to INR exchange rate for daily spot rate.
Let’s see how system will automatically pick the USD to INR exchange at transaction level.
As we can see in the above Purchase order screen shot, where we have entered PO date as “15-11-2014” and selected vendor “A0019” (USD currency vendor).
So based on the PO date system has automatically picked Exchange rate as “61.73” for currency USD in rates tab.
Sage 300 ERP makes it easy for you to automatically select exchange rates at transaction level for different currency and it provides control on multicurrency transaction without manual intervention of currency exchange rate.
