Hiding Control on Sage 300 UI

Sometimes, ADMIN user may require hiding any field or button or tabbing from a particular user or ADMIN want to restrict access of some detail or information to any user in Sage 300 ERP. In this blog we’ll discuss a feature of Sage 300 ERP which allow ADMIN user to do so.

For example, consider AP Vendor master UI. Now if you are ADMIN user and you want to restrict other USER to view Group Code, follow below mentioned steps:

Ap Vendor with Group Code

1. Login with ADMIN user ->  Navigate to AP Vendors -> Vendors -> Click on File Menu -> Customize
Sage 300 will navigate you to a new UI:

2. Click on New Button as shown above and add a new profile (Refer below screen shot) -> Enter Profile ID -> Click on Add and then Close.
You can also add new profile by navigating to Administrative Services -> UI Profile Maintenance

3. Now the profile will get added to Customize UI -> Un check the field or button you want to hide from particular USER -> Click OK -> Click Save.

4. Go to Administrative Services -> Assign UI profile -> Assign Profile Id to the user from whom you want to hide.

5. Now login to Sage 300 ERP with USER and navigate to AP Vendors -> Vendors
Now user won’t be able to view the Group Code in AP Vendor Master UI.

Thus ADMIN user can hide fields or button in Sage 300 ERP from any user.
