The new sage 2014 user screen has additional features which helps the administrator to keep a better control and check over the users. During the time of taking down time for maintenance activity it was essential for the administrator to communicate with every user to log out.
The fields marked in the red block are newly added.
New Stuff: Aspect of PO Type and Order Type “Future”
As you can see in the above red marked area,
- Job Role – Now we can assign the role to the user on the basis of the user’s job profile. There is a list of roles which can be assigned to the users.
- Contact information– The users contact information such as his phone number and email ids can be stored. This helps the administrator to communicate with the end users.
- Check box – the check box should be checked so that the users can receive an email from SAGE regarding the new features or special tips on the email id specified in the contact information. For this feature it is compulsory to assign a JOB ROLE.
After the user is created now lets we see how the administrator can view the user’s details. The Administrator can view the users which are connected in sage 300 on the current users screen. Here the administrator can view the users Contact details which will enable him to contact him in case any communication needs to be made.
This additional feature helps the administrator for establishing contact with the users in case of any maintenance activity.
