In Sage 300 ERP, you can define the weight unit of measure with their conversion factor. You can use this in Order Entry Screen to define total the weight of your order.
In this blog, we will discuss how to configure the weight unit of measure for Items in Sage 300 ERP. This functionality can be useful for any sales related company.
For example, On the I/C Options screen, if you specify a default weight unit of measure, then in Order Entry module it can be used to express the weight of that order. You can define the weight UOM like pounds, tons, kilograms etc. in IC Setup –> Weight Units Of Measure:
Inventory Control –> I/C Setup –> Weight Unit of Measure
The New Stuff: Displaying Image in crystal report
The default weight unit of measure has a conversion factor of 1, and all other weight UOMs are defined in relation to the default weight UOM. The default weight unit of measure (specified on the I/C Options form) is the unit for expressing the weight of orders.
This helps you to use fractions in weight conversion factors, even if you do not use fractional inventory quantities.
